My name is Marie Bowers and this is my blog! I love to talk about farming,  politics and social media.

I was born and raised in the southern Willamette Valley on a grass seed farm. I am the 5th generation farming on our century farm. I am a proud Washington State University alum, Go Cougs!  I am the past president of Oregon Women for Agriculture and an AgChat Foundation board member.

I come from a tradition of AgVocates dating back to my great-grandmother who helped to found Oregon Women for Agriculture.   As a second grader my Dad took me to the Capitol to listen to field burning legislative hearings.   It is safe to say AgVocacy is more than just a passion, it is imbedded in our life.

OregonGreen allows me to share my story, information and facts about today’s farms & forests.

Here are some examples of what you’ll find on OregonGreen:

Way to go Marie! I hope you sent these comments into ODEQ. The public comment period for the rulemaking was extended until 21 Mar. Thank you for your help. Jerry

  3. I am so enjoying your blog. It’s comforting to know that there are young farmers who are willing to advocate for our livelihood. It’s a timely topic and so many are misinformed. Keep up your great blog…. I have enjoyed and shared some of the comments from your blog posts.

Thank you for your blog! I am from a farming family in Eastern Oregon and moved to the Portland area a little over a year ago. People need to hear what Agvocates have to say and your blog gives me great information to share.
